Classes are designed to reflect the comprehensive expression of each season in order to facilitate our best selves throughout the year – beginnings and endings, dark moods and light, strength and softness. Each week, Nerine invites students to consider fresh perspectives on how they can take their observations off the mat and into their daily lives.
Join us for a gentle, user-friendly practice that accommodates the diverse seasons of life.

Sundays are meant for slowing down…
Return to the sanctuary of Sundays when we allowed time for reflection, honoured our need for self-care, and supported each other as a community. These gentle classes work in harmony with the seasons and support all students whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner.
In-person classes are available in blocks of four or ten. While they don’t have to be attended sequentially, doing so means you begin to build a solid foundation of skills and nurture beneficial habits. Moreover, a consistent practice demonstrates dedication to self-kindness. This is a commitment to yourself which I want to help support. Mindful Movement isn’t about exercise or weight loss, and it’s not about holding acrobatic poses to impress others. It’s about connection, about healthy relationships, with yourself and others.
An immersive practice for those who want a meaningful experience for body and mind.
An organic practice lead by inspiration rather than a specific journey.
There is no guarantee how we’ll feel with each new day so these sessions are in response to that unknown promising weekly variety. Guided by student requests, you’ll find the opportunity to simply bring some movement, soft or strong, into your weekday mornings.
Whether it’s your body, your emotions, or your mind, let inspiration be your guide!
Some experience is recommended to accommodate ‘anything can happen’ Tuesdays!

Imagine an afternoon each month designed to support you through the moods of winter…
When December is over do you ever feel as though you’re still trying to catch up, to recover from the holiday busyness? Perhaps you become inert with low moods, or feel disappointed, even embarrassed, when you don’t meet lifestyle goals you’ve set for yourself. Have you ever considered there’s nothing actually wrong with you? What if you were merely responding to the season, even the season of life?
Winter is when all of Nature slows down and the longer nights mean we have more quiet time for reflection – where we’ve been, where we’re headed, and who and what is on the journey with us. Do you ever find winter brings with it physical discomfort, a clenched jaw, stiff shoulders, or back pain? It could be symptomatic of not just physical, but mental and emotional upheaval. You plan ahead to ensure your home is winter ready, so why not you?
Join me and other well-being professionals for a holistic journey through Winter Wellness. This series of short afternoon workshops will not only give you something to look forward to each month, but each session will offer support unique to the different stages of winter – rest, relinquish, and renewal.
Harmonise body and mind to the season with gentle practices of mindful movement that complement the day’s theme. Find solace in the sharing circle; a time when our experiences are normalised as we listen to each other’s stories and harness the power of journaling for reflection. Learn practical advice to address some of the symptoms you may be enduring and a selection of local resources who may be able to help. User-friendly breath practices will offer methods to manage symptoms, as well as calm and bring clarity to the mind.
MINDFUL REPOSE
Sunday, 26th January Learn to surrender to the season.
Rather than struggle against the organic rhythm of the slowing season, this workshop fuses Restorative, Therapeutic, and Yoga Nidra to nurture deep rest. To complement the day’s practice of soothing your nervous system, vouchers will be included for treatments from Reflexology with Jayne and Hypnotherapy from Kristen McKenzie of Harrogate Massage Therapy.
MINDFUL GRIEVING
Sunday, 23rd February Whether it’s due to bereavement, divorce, job loss, chronic illness, or menopausal changes, grief is a complex journey that often manifests in the body. Denial and isolation exacerbate the challenges of grief making winter a particularly challenging season.
Accompanied by Louise Bloomfield, a certified grief and loss therapist, I will introduce somatic movement to help gently process grief held in the body while Louise will guide participants through a sharing circle and journaling prompts. This workshop will also offer participants a preview of a six-week course Louise and I are designing for pending release.
As a 200hr Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy teacher and Louise, a certified therapist, your safety and confidentiality are our priority.
MINDFUL WISDOM
Sunday, 23rd March Celebrating Women’s History month and the close of winter with strength, hope, and unity.
Accompanied by Fiona of Complete Calm Massage Therapy, this workshop will nurture strength, balance, and mindful grounding. Fiona will guide participants through the benefits of self-massage, all to promote a centred entrance into spring. Such a lovely way to bring winter to a close in the nurturing bonds of community.
These workshops are less about indulgence and more about normalising the importance of self-care, often at a time in life when we may feel depleted having looked after others for so long. A few hours for yourself once a month isn’t too much to ask.
It’s winter. Now is the time to be unapologetically kind to yourself.
Whether you sign up for one workshop or join us for the entire journey, these sessions are an opportunity to invest in your best self this winter. No experience required.
These exclusive sessions offer you the luxury of time, supportive tips customised for your needs, and can lend incredible value to your practice.
Do you feel intimidated as a beginner?
One-to-ones can help you build confidence while you learn the basics at your own pace and will offer you insightful tools that you can apply in any group class.
Perhaps you’re an experienced practitioner.
Come refresh your perspective and renew your enthusiasm for exploring the rich diversity of the practice.
Maybe you struggle with a chronic condition such as ME/CFS, cancer, or arthritis, or you simply need a little extra help overcoming a particular issue like tight hips.
We’ll work together to discover how to accommodate your changing needs, apply challenges and adaptations as appropriate, all while bolstering patience, kindness, and calm.
